Platinum Plus Program

 

 

Want something new and different that will still fuel your competitive volleyball fire?  Platinum Volleyball Solutions is hosting an 8 week program for athletes that want to train at an elite level without all the expense and time commitment of club volleyball.

JUNE

What: 3 week training programs; Each training session is 1.5 hrs once a week

                     

When: 

   June 16-30th

  Wednesdays from 1:00-2:30 for 5th-7th grade athletes $100.00

  Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 for 8th-12th grade athletes $100.00

 

Where: Collin Creek Community Church; 3701 W. Spring Crk Pkwy, Plano

Instructors: Julie Vordenbaum, Karen Wright, Stephen Collins

Athletes will train using the latest high performance techniques that are utilized by the USA national team.  Nutritional, mental, and leadership training will also be incorporated.  Additional opportunities for scrimmages against club teams will be provided.  Each session is concluded with a player evaluation to create a road map for the athlete’s future volleyball success.

Class size is limited, so please register early!

Conditioning Program
Platinum Volleyball Solutions provides volleyball specific instruction in conditioning, agility, and speed.  Having trained as volleyball conditioning specialist by USA Volleyball, we incorporate this training into court movements that provide immediate game transfer.  This program focuses on conditioning athletes without a weight room and places emphasis on court movement, on and off court conditioning, jump improvement, and injury prevention.
 
The conditioning program covers:
vertical jump improvement,
flexibility,
core stability and power,
strength and explosiveness,
agility, and quickness. 
 
All the exercises and drills are well described with purpose, procedure, and key points.  Each session utilizes dynamic stretches during warm-up to help prepare the athletes for fast twitch movements during the focused training.  Core stability and power exercises are used to train the power zone: abdominals, hips, and lower back.  Strength and explosiveness is developed with plyometrics and change-of-direction drills are utilized to improve agility and quickness.

BACK TO SCHOOL CAMP

 

Platinum Volleyball Solutions is hosting elite back to school volleyball camps this summer.  These camps incorporate the development of volleyball skills and a strength and agility mini-program.  Each camp is led by Julie Vordenbaum.  Julie has fourteen years of USAV coaching experience.  During the summers of 2007-2009, she provided 100+ hours of private instruction to athletes in the north Dallas area ages (8-18).  Julie is IMPACT certified as well as USAV CAP I certified. 
 
Athletes will learn: (1) Offense (setting, hitting, serving) (2) Defense (blocking, digging, emergency techniques) (3) Ball Control (4) Game situation decisions.
 
What makes Platinum Volleyball Solutions' summer camps unique is that along with teaching athletes quality skills, athletes learn how to improve their strength, agility, and quickness.  Forty-five minutes of each day will be  dedicated to helping athletes become quicker, have improved body control/strength, increase their vertical jump and have better overall endurance.  This will be lead by Julie Vordenbaum who trained under the USAV Volleyball Conditioning Program.  The training utilizes: fast twitch development, plyometrics, and core training.
 
The camp registration  is limited to insure a quality coach to athlete ratio (8:1).  Athletes should have previous club or school experience.  Athletes will be divided according to playing level.  Our camps have filled every year, so please make sure to register early.
